We are off! K has arrived with the digger and is busy getting the new beds ready, then remove two tree stumps and dig the pool.

In the bungalow P has finished the library/study, A has started to unpack boxes of fine China - I think it’s all going to work out fine.

I have ordered a collection of plants from Parkers and Hayloft, also the Shallots have arrived from Marshalls and I have also ordered some giant garlic. We tried this for the first-time last year at CH, the taste when freshly dug and roasted was excellent so have decided to plant again.

Last night we had a frost so hope plants which should be in but are still in pots or only dug in will be OK.

The builders will I hope start in mid. January and the patios laid early March, then we can move at a good rate to get the garden ready for the summer.
